چکیده
The definition of stem cell is “an unspecialized cell that gives rise to a specific specialized cell, such as a blood cell”. Stem Cell is the original of life. All cells come from stem cells. Serving as a repair system for the living body, the stem cells can divide without limit to replenish other cells as long as the living body is still alive. When a stem cell divides, each new cell has the potential to either remain a stem cell situation or become another type of cell with a more specialized function, such as a muscle cell, a red blood cell, a bone cell, a nerve cell, or a brain cell. Stem cell research is a typical and important topic of life science. This material collects some literatures on stem cell therapy. [Smith MH. Stem Cell Therapy Literatures. Stem Cells So far! Stem Cell Therapy Facts and Principles
Stem cells are cells with the ability to divide for indefinite periods and to give rise to specialized cells. Stem cell therapy has now been emerged as an extraordinary promise to treat a wide range of diseases and conditions. However, except blood stem cell transfer by bone marrow transplant which has been used as an standard practice for more than 50 years, nearly all of therapeutic potenti...
متن کاملStem Cell-Based Therapy (Cell Therapy) in Iran and other Countries
Cell therapy is a modern approach in the treatment of most of the diseases which uses stem cells and it has been recently developed rapidly. Cell therapy has shown satisfactory results in this way. Our country, Iran, has played an important role in the development of this new method and the results of stem cell treatment used for the most of the diseases were successful. The results have led to...
متن کاملThe Role of Stem Cell Therapy in Multiple Sclerosis: an Overview of the Current Status of the Clinical Studies
The complexity of multiple sclerosis (MS) and the incompetence of a large number of promise treatments in MS urge us to plan new and more effective therapeutic approaches that aim to suppress ongoing autoimmune responses and induction of local endogenous regeneration. Emerging data propose that hematopoietic, mesenchymal and neural stem cells have the potential to restore self-tolerance, to pro...
متن کاملDegenerative Disc Disease: A Review of Cell Technologies and Stem Cell Therapy
Background & Aim: Low back pain is broadly documented as one of the most widespread pathologies in the advanced domain. Although the reasons of low back pain are uncountable, it has been meaningfully related to intervertebral disc degeneration. Present therapies for Intervertebral Disc (IVD) degeneration such as physical therapy and spinal fusion reduce symptoms' severity, but do not treat the ...

Parkinson’s disease (PD) is a progressive neurodegenerative disease characterized by motor and non-motor symptoms. It is expected to impose an increasing economic and social burden on human populations. The motor symptoms of PD are well known, including age-dependent uncontrollable resting tremor, bradykinesia, rigidity, posture instability. In the non-motor symptoms, cognitive changes, d...
